Each year Calgary Corporate Challenge (CCC) requests participating businesses to make a $400.00 donation to KidSport, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment so that all kids can play. This year Nexen put an original spin on its fundraising. The Nexen CCC committee partnered with the Wellness Centre and two of Calgary’s top spin instructors to deliver awesome indoor cycling experiences for a minimum donation of $25.00 a seat.
On July 21, Elaine Arthur, co-owner of Heavens Fitness and creator of their signature cycling program, Crank’d, put our people through their paces. This was followed by Andrew Obrecht, co-owner of YYC Cycle, hustling it out on August 11.
In our Win Together way, Nexen rode right by the initial goal of $400.00 to break the tape at $1407.50 (including Nexen matching).
Thank you to everyone who participated. Your dollars make a difference.
